​Shawn Ramagos
Production Partner

Possessing an extensive background in several areas of the entertainment industry, he started his career with Walt Disney Entertainment in Orlando, Florida as a technician for live show events and parades.  Shawn was honored to be selected as an opening crew member at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park working as a lead lighting technician. He later worked for Universal Studios as a technician and eventually became a Technical Director for three other theatrical companies.  

​Recruited by Presentation Services Audio Visual, he was appointed Production Manager of large show events working for companies like Lockheed Martin, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and the U.S. Department of Defense to name a few. Upon moving to Virginia, Shawn was the Senior Production Supervisor for Concerts and Events at Busch Gardens and key special effects makeup artist for Howl-0-Scream. Detail-oriented with effective time management, Shawn is an asset to Emerald Bayou Studios.

Dustin Beck is a Technology Consultant for Emerald Bayou Studios. Beck, who was referred by and works in collaboration with Cisco Systems, brings fifteen years of experience in the advanced high-tech consulting industry and has worked with many of the leaders in his field. He specializes in providing business relevant solutions to dynamic companies in need of technology, helping them keep pace with their rapidly changing growth needs. Having worked across many verticals, including entertainment, media management, mobile technologies and communications, Mr. Beck is uniquely qualified to assist the Emerald Bayou team in cutting edge technology development for the present and future.

Marquetta Cheeks
Owner and CEO

Marquetta Cheeks, owner and CEO of Emerald Bayou Studios, is a writer/ director/ producer whose 40-year career spans film, television, and music. Her knowledge and experience was accomplished while working in Los Angeles and New York with superstar comedian RICHARD PRYOR major companies such as WARNER BROS. and multiple projects with large crews and budgets up to $100 million. She is proficient in project development/management, television and film production, live shows, budget administration, contract negotiations, promotion, marketing and publicity. A native of Louisiana, Marquetta graduated from prestigious Southern University in Baton Rouge with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism.

​​As CEO of EBS, Marquetta’s many responsibilities include overseeing the company’s 6 sister companies and all entertainment products. She is very proud that the company has celebrated over 10 years of community service educating audiences and promoting the film/entertainment industry across Louisiana. She successfully implemented a film/television production training program in the state which included producing the program’s short film “THE GLASS CHORD”, directed by Cinematographer Keith L. Smith (The Wedding Pact, Mama I Want To Sing) and starring legendary bluesman and Grammy nominee Henry Gray.
